RATCLIFFE-ON-SOAR
POWER STATION
Ratcliffe-On-Soar Power Station,
situated on the banks of the River Trent near
Nottingham, was built in the late 1960`s. The
reinforced concrete cooling towers were showing
signs of severe concrete spalling. Churchill
Refurbishment acting in partnership with its
parent company Churchill Steeplejacks UK were
awarded the contract to repair the cooling towers,
some 3500 individual repair sites. The tower
was accessed using a unique cradle system designed
in house by Churchill Steeplejacks, while the
expertise in concrete repair of Churchill Refurbishment
insured that the project was completed on time,
to a high specification and within budget.
